Contract/Policy 2019 - 2024

IMPORTANT NOTE: THIS CONTRACT AND POLICY PAGE IS SUBJECT TO CHANGES AT ANY TIME THROUGHOUT THE YEAR; THEREFORE, WE URGE STUDENTS TO VISIT THIS PAGE REGULARLY IN ORDER TO REMAIN UPDATED.

Legal:

By scheduling your first lesson and making your first payment (using Zelle only), you are hereby agreeing to the below contract/policy in it's entirety. With each consecutive monthly payment after your first payment (only Zelle Payments and Cash Payments are accepted for future payments after the first payment was made by Zelle. Zelle Payments can only be made by students taking online classes, while Cash Payments can only be made by students taking in-studio or in-home classes. Payments must be sent out no later than the 1st of each month. Any payments sent out after the 1st of each month will result in the payment being received late and accruing a late fee(s) with each consecutive week that goes by), you are renewing your agreement to the contract/policy below in it's entirety. Breach of contract will result in legal action.

Tuition:

Tuition covers not only the contact time spent with the student, but also the time spent in preparation for the student:

A carefully designed individual plan for each student’s course of study

Ongoing development of teaching materials

A well formulated piano/voice/flute/musical theatre/music course of superior quality

Meetings and conferences

Continuing superior quality musical program/education

New and Current Students:

We offer specials throughout the year. If you are given a special when you first start lessons, your special will end as stipulated by the special offer. Once your special ends, your future tuition total will be calculated by using our regular per lesson rate. Regular monthly tuition (can only be paid with Zelle Payments or Cash Payments for each month after the first payment for the first month of lessons has been paid for by Zelle) is calculated by multiplying the number of your lesson days in each respective month by the quoted rate that you are given for each of your lessons, and each monthly payment (Zelle Payments or Cash Payments only for all future payments after the first payment was paid for by Zelle) is due (no exceptions, please) to be sent out to us no later than the 1st of each month. Your first payment (made by Zelle only) of a full month consists of payment for 4 to 5 lessons (or more lessons if you have multiple lessons per week), depending on the month (returning students - please call us for your total). Tuition payments (Zelle Payments or Cash Payments only after first payment has been made by Zelle) must be paid on time and sent out no later than the 1st of each month.

If tuition payments (Zelle Payments or Cash Payments only for all future monthly payments after the first payment was paid for by Zelle) are not sent out at the latest by the 1st of each month and have not been received by the 15th of each month, a late fee equal to the rate of one lesson (your per lesson quoted rate), must be added to the total of the late tuition payment, in order for the student to be able to reinstate their account, and continue to hold his/her lessons, lesson schedule (time slot), and lesson rate.

Tuition payments (Zelle Payments or Cash Payments only for all future monthly payments made after the first payment paid for by Zelle) not received by the 15th of each month, will automatically accrue a late fee equal to the total amount of one of your lessons (your per lesson rate). Additional late fees will accrue every week until payment, along with all late fees, have been received and paid for. If lessons are canceled due to non-payment or excessively late payment, the student's balance will remain due and the student's account will only be cleared, once the total balance due, including any late fees, have been received. Your lesson time slot, rate, and schedule are not guaranteed/held without timely full payment of your tuition. No exceptions.

New students who have been given a discounted rate for their first month (include payment for 4 weeks), must include the payment for a fifth week (if there is one on that first month) with the tuition payment of the upcoming month (all first tuition payments must be paid for by Zelle only).

New students who wish to sign up and reserve lessons with our music academy are required to do one of the following below options (no exceptions). After one of these options listed below has been met, the new student can pay ahead of the minimum required first month(s) they have reserved with their first payment, for as many consecutive months of lessons in a row as they like:

If it is the beginning of a month (or at the end of a previous month, where all lesson days have already passed) and no lessons for that month have taken place yet, and the new student wants to start immediately, then they must make a tuition payment (by Zelle only) for both the current month and upcoming month (basically a payment for 2 months of lessons). No exceptions.

If it is in the middle of a month (a certain amount of lesson days has already past for that month, such as a month with 4 lesson days, where there are only 3 or less lesson days left to go for that month, or a month with 5 lesson days, where there are only 4 or less lesson days left to go for that month) and the new student wants to start immediately, then they must make a tuition payment (by Zelle only) that covers for the remaining lessons in the current month, as well as for all lessons in the upcoming as well. No exceptions.

If it is the beginning or in the middle of a month (either at the end of a previous month after all lesson days have passed, the beginning of a month before any lesson days have passed, or in the middle of a month where one or more of the lesson days in that month have passed) and the new student does not want to start immediately and prefers to start in the upcoming month, then they must make a tuition payment (by Zelle only) that covers for all of the lessons in the upcoming month. No exceptions.

New students are not able to reserve and pay for lessons for a month ahead of the upcoming month at the time they contact us to schedule and reserve their lessons. Current students are not able to reserve and pay for lessons for a month ahead of the upcoming month. Lessons for both new and current students must be reserved and purchased for the upcoming month first (months cannot be skipped and tuition payments for each month cannot be skipped), but the student can reserve lessons for other months ahead of the upcoming month once they have reserved for the upcoming month first. If the student does not make a tuition payment (only Zelle Payments and Cash Payments are accepted for all future monthly payments after the first monthly payment was paid for by Zelle) to schedule/reserve their lessons for the upcoming month, their time slot, lesson rate, and schedule will be at risk of being lost. No days/times, lesson rate, or schedule will be held/reserved for the student unless tuition payment (only Zelle Payments and Cash Payments are accepted for all future monthly payments after the first monthly payment was paid for by Zelle) for the upcoming month is paid for. The students time slot will be available for anyone to take and reserve for themselves. If the student chooses to not have lessons for the upcoming month and not pay their tuition payment (only Zelle Payments and Cash Payments are accepted for all future monthly payments after the first monthly payment was paid for by Zelle) for the upcoming month, their current time slot and lesson rate will be lost, any make up lessons they had scheduled will be void, no refunds will be given, and they must wait until the last lesson day at the end of the upcoming month to contact us and schedule their lessons for the following month after that. No exceptions.

When you pay for the upcoming month, you are reserving and paying for your lessons at the day and time you selected and agreed to. Thus, it is the student’s responsibility to be available at our music academy, online over the internet via Skype, or at their home, on the day and time of their lessons. We are a music academy, so we work just like any other traditional school. We have a set schedule for each student per month. Every student pays and reserves their lessons for the month to be on a certain day and time. Once you make a payment for the month (Zelle Payments or Cash Payments only for current students, Zelle Payments only for new students), it sets and locks in your lesson days and times for the month. If you ever want to change your lesson day and time for the upcoming month, make sure to tell us at the beginning of the upcoming month before you make your payment.

After the payment for the month is made, the student’s schedule will be locked in our system. It is then up to the student to be available at our music academy, online over the internet via Skype, or at their home, at the day/time that they bought and paid for. If you are not able to make it to one or more of your lessons, then you miss the lesson or lessons, regardless of the reason. It is the student's responsibility to set time aside for their lesson day/time and to be available at our music academy, online over the internet via Skype, or at their home, at the day/time they have selected, agreed to, reserved, and paid for. No exceptions.

The only time a make-up lesson will be given is if a student’s lesson falls on a day/holiday that our music academy is closed or if our masterful expert music instructors, who are the Grand Masters of Music, are not available. You can contact our music academy, on a day our music academy is open, before the closed day that your lesson falls on, and schedule a make-up lesson up to 90 days from the closed day that your lesson fell on, at one of our available times and days. If there is no available time and day that works for you, then the lesson is void. If you do not contact us and schedule your make up lesson before the closed day that your lesson falls on, the make-up lesson is void.

MAKE SURE TO PAY ON TIME. PLEASE REMEMBER TO SEND YOUR TUITION PAYMENTS (ZELLE PAYMENTS AND CASH PAYMENTS ONLY) FOR EACH UPCOMING MONTH NO LATER THAN THE 1ST OF EACH MONTH. THE 15TH OF EACH MONTH IS THE DUE DATE FOR TUITION PAYMENTS TO BE RECEIVED FOR THE UPCOMING MONTH. ANY PAYMENTS RECEIVED AFTER THE 15TH OF EACH MONTH WILL AUTOMATICALLY ACCRUE A LATE FEE EQUAL TO 1 OF THE STUDENTS LESSONS. THE LATE FEE WILL CONTINUE TO ACCRUE WITH EACH FOLLOWING WEEK UNTIL PAYMENT, ALONG WITH ALL LATE FEES, HAS BEEN MADE. REMEMBER THAT YOUR PAYMENT HOLDS YOUR LESSON DAY/TIME, RATE, AND SCHEDULE. STUDENTS WHO DO NOT PAY ON TIME ARE NOT GUARANTEED ANY LESSON DAY/TIME, RATE, OR SCHEDULE. IT IS YOUR RESPONSIBILITY TO MAKE YOUR TUITION PAYMENTS ON TIME. TUITION PAYMENTS NOT MADE ON TIME WILL RESULT IN YOUR DAY/TIME, RATE, AND SCHEDULE NOT BEING RESERVED/HELD.

FOR STUDENTS/PARENTS WHO NEED ASSISTANCE MAKING MONTHLY PAYMENTS, IF YOU NEED ASSISTANCE CALCULATING YOUR TOTAL AMOUNT DUE OR MAKING A PAYMENT, PLEASE DO THE FOLLOWING: IN ORDER TO GUARANTEE THAT YOUR FULL MONTHLY PAYMENT WILL BE RECEIVED AND YOUR MONTHLY LESSONS WILL BE HELD/RESERVED FOR YOU, WE URGE YOU TO PLEASE PLAN TO SEND YOUR MONTHLY PAYMENTS (ZELLE PAYMENTS AND CASH PAYMENTS ONLY) NO LATER THAN THE 1ST OF EACH MONTH. SENDING YOUR PAYMENT (ZELLE PAYMENTS AND CASH PAYMENTS ONLY) NO LATER THAN THE 1ST OF EACH MONTH, WILL GUARANTEE THAT YOUR PAYMENT WILL BE RECEIVED ON TIME (NO LATER THAN THE 15TH OF EACH MONTH), AND YOUR LESSONS, LESSON RATE, AND SCHEDULE FOR THE UPCOMING MONTH WILL BE HELD/RESERVED FOR YOU.

The only time a make-up lesson will be given is if a student’s lesson falls on a day/holiday that our music academy is closed or if our expert music instruction masters, who are the ultimate Masters of Music, are not available. You can contact us, on a day our music academy is open, before the closed day that your lesson falls on, and schedule a make-up lesson up to 90 days from the closed day that your lesson fell on, at one of our available times and days.

If there is no available time that works for you, then the lesson is void. If you do not contact us and schedule your make up lesson before the closed day that your lesson falls on, the make-up lesson is void.

STUDENTS WHO WILL BE ABSENT MUST CONTACT US PRIOR. IF A STUDENT WILL BE ABSENT FOR ONE OR MORE OF THEIR FUTURE LESSONS FOR ANY REASON, THE STUDENT MUST CONTACT US, IN ADVANCE, PRIOR TO THE LESSON DAYS THAT THEY WILL BE ABSENT, ON A DAY THAT OUR MUSIC ACADEMY IS OPEN, SO THAT OUR MASTER MUSIC INSTRUCTORS KNOW NOT TO EXPECT YOU ON A CERTAIN LESSON DAY OR DAYS. WE MUST HAVE CONFIRMATION FROM THE STUDENT THAT HE/SHE WILL CONTINUE TO ATTEND LESSONS AFTER THE LESSON OR LESSONS HE/SHE WILL MISS.

IF A STUDENT MISSES A LESSON AND HAS NOT CONTACTED US WITHIN 6 DAYS FROM THE MISSED LESSON, WE WILL CONCLUDE THE STUDENT HAS DROPPED OUT, AND THEIR TIME SLOT, LESSON RATE, AND SCHEDULE WILL BE LOST. PLEASE REMEMBER THAT WE WILL ONLY RECEIVE AND RESPOND TO ANY CALLS, TEXT MESSAGES, VOICEMAILS, ETC. ON DAYS ON WHICH WE ARE OPEN. NO EXCEPTIONS.

The only time a makeup lesson is possible, is when your lesson day falls on a day/holiday on which our music academy is closed or if our expert music instructors, who are the ultimate Masters of Music, are not available, where then you can contact our music academy, on a day our music academy is open, before the closed day that your lesson falls on, and schedule a make-up lesson up to 90 days from the closed day that your lesson fell on, at one of our available times and days. If there is no available time and day that works for you, then the lesson is void. If you do not contact us and schedule your make up lesson before the closed day that your lesson falls on, the make-up lesson is void.

FOR STUDENTS WHO HAVE LESSONS THAT FALL ON OUR CLOSED/NOT AVAILABLE DAYS. IF A STUDENT HAS A LESSON THAT FALLS ON A DAY WE ARE CLOSED/NOT AVAILABLE, THE STUDENT MAY BE ALLOWED TO HAVE THAT LESSON ON ANOTHER DAY/TIME THAT IS AVAILABLE WITHIN 90 DAYS FROM THAT CLOSED DAY. WE CAN ONLY OFFER DAYS/TIMES THAT WE HAVE AVAILABLE. IF NONE ARE POSSIBLE FOR THE STUDENT, THEN THE LESSON IS VOID. IT IS YOUR RESPONSIBILITY TO CONTACT US ON A DAY OUR MUSIC ACADEMY IS OPEN, PRIOR TO A DAY WE ARE CLOSED, WHICH YOUR REGULAR LESSON DAY FALLS ON, TO SCHEDULE YOUR MAKE UP LESSON (1 PER MONTH) ON A DAY/TIME WE HAVE AVAILABLE. OTHERWISE, THE LESSON WILL BE FORFEITED. MAKE UP LESSONS CANNOT BE SCHEDULED TWICE. IF THE STUDENT IS NOT ABLE TO ATTEND THE MAKE UP LESSON ON THE NEW DAY/TIME THEY CHOSE/RESERVED, THEN THE LESSON IS VOID. WE URGE STUDENTS TO NOT MISS LESSONS BECAUSE ONLY 1 LESSON PER MONTH WILL BE AVAILABLE FOR MAKE UP (DAYS ON WHICH WE ARE CLOSED OR THE INSTRUCTORS ARE NOT AVAILABLE ONLY). NO REFUNDS WILL BE GIVEN FOR LESSONS THAT FALL ON CLOSED/NOT AVAILABLE DAYS. NO EXCEPTIONS.

Students must send tuition payments consecutively each month (only Zelle Payments and Cash Payments are accepted for monthly tuition payments after your first payment for your first month(s) of lessons have been paid for by making a Zelle Payment), on time (no later than the 1st of each month and being received no later than the 15th of each month), to hold and reserve their time slot, lesson rate, and schedule, regardless of the student's attendance. It is the student's full responsibility to do so. If students do not make their tuition payments (only Zelle Payments and Cash Payments are accepted for monthly tuition payments after your first payment for your first month(s) of lessons have been paid for by making a Zelle Payment) on time each month (the 15th of each month), it will automatically accrue a late fee equal to the total amount of one lesson (your per lesson rate), and each week that goes by without payment being received will automatically accrue a second late fee, also equal to the total amount of one lesson. Additional late fees will accrue every week until payment, along with all late fees, has been received and paid for. If students do not send their tuition payments (only Zelle Payments and Cash Payments are accepted for monthly tuition payments after your first payment for your first month(s) of lessons have been paid for) on time each month (no later than the 1st of each month), and have it received by us no later than the 15th of each month, then their time slot, lesson rate, and schedule will not be held/reserved. A student’s account will only be reinstated once all late payments along with all late fees have been paid for.

The students time slot will be available for anyone to take and reserve for themselves. If the student cancels their lessons with our music academy altogether, their current time slot and lesson rate will be lost, any make up lessons they had scheduled will be void, and no refunds will be given. No exceptions.

New students who have contacted the Elite Music Academy of the Arts and set their schedules, are required to pay for their first month of lessons in advance (as soon as the student has contacted us and chosen a schedule for lessons), in order to hold their lessons, chosen time schedule, and lesson rate - First month payments must be paid through Zelle (bank mobile transfer). Due to a full schedule and high demand for lessons, we are not able to hold/reserve/guarantee schedules/time slots and lesson rates without full payment. Your chosen schedule/time slot and lesson rate will remain available in our system, for anyone to take for themselves, until your full tuition payment has been received and confirmed. Please note that our system operates on a first pay, first served basis. Prompt payment of your tuition will hold/guarantee your lessons, chosen time schedule, and lesson rate.

Please note: New students are asked to please supply us with a cell phone number that may be used to send important notifications.

Accepted Forms of Payment:

PAYMENT METHODS FOR NEW STUDENTS (FIRST MONTH(S) PAYMENT ONLY). ONLY THESE PAYMENT METHODS BELOW CAN BE USED TO MAKE THE FIRST MONTH(S) PAYMENT:

1. Pay through Zelle (bank direct transfer using Zelle) (if paying through Zelle, please contact us for the necessary information at (561) 351-8792).

PAYMENT METHODS FOR CURRENT STUDENTS (FUTURE PAYMENTS AFTER THE FIRST MONTH(S) PAYMENT). ONLY THESE PAYMENT METHODS BELOW CAN BE USED TO MAKE PAYMENTS AFTER THE FIRST MONTH(S) PAYMENT HAS BEEN PAID FOR USING ZELLE:

1. Pay with a Zelle Payment (Can only be used for Students having online classes. Please make sure to send it early enough, no later than the 1st of each month, so that it arrives no later than the 15th of each month. If your payment arrives later than the 15th of each month, it will be counted as a late payment and will accrue a late fee. Additional late fees will continue to accrue until payment, along with all late fees, have all been paid for).

2. Pay using Cash (Can only be used for Students having in-studio or in-home classes. Please make sure to pay early enough (no later than the 1st of each month), so that we receive and process the payment no later than the 15th of each month. If your payment is paid later than the 15th of each month, then it will be counted as a late payment and will accrue a late fee. Additional late fees will continue to accrue until payment, along with all late fees, have all been paid for).

Important Note:

1) Available time slots go fast, therefore, if you are interested in lessons, we kindly ask you to please call us at your earliest convenience, if you would like to schedule your lessons. If you would like to reserve a specific time slot, please call us well in advance and make your payment in order to have it held/reserved for you. Advance payment is required in order to hold lessons, a time schedule, and lesson rate. In that case, payment must be received immediately. Your lessons, time slot, and lesson rate will be guaranteed once payment is received and confirmed.

2) If the student's very first lesson is NOT due to take place on the very first week of the current month, but on the second or third week (or fourth week if it is a month with 5 weeks in it), then the student's first payment (which can only be paid for with Zelle only) must include payment for all lesson days in the upcoming month, as well as payment for all the lesson days remaining in the current month from where they are starting (If the student's first lesson is due to take place on the first week of the current month, then the student must make a payment to cover both the current month and upcoming month, which means they must make a payment for both months, the current month and upcoming month). Lessons for the upcoming month is the absolute minimum that a student can reserve and pay for. No less than that can be reserved at any time. No exceptions.

If your lessons are due to start on the last week of a month, then your first tuition payment must include that single week and all the weeks of your upcoming month. Thereafter, the student's tuition payments (Zelle Payments and Cash Payments are only accepted after the first payment was paid for using Zelle) will be due on the 15th of each month and must be sent no later than the 1st of each month, in order to arrive on time no later than the 15th of each month - Please note that payments that are received after the 15th of each month, are past the due date (the 15th of each month) and do not guarantee that lessons, time slot, and lesson rate will be held. If the total tuition payment is not received by the 15th of each month, your account will accrue a late fee equal to the amount of your per lesson quoted rate, if paid after the 15th of each month. For each week after the 15th of each month that goes by that the tuition payment is still not received, a second late fee equal to the amount of your per lesson quoted rate will accrue. Additional late fees will accrue every week until all late payments, along with all late fees, have been received and paid for. When making your tuition payments, please calculate your individual lesson rate by the number of your lessons in each month respectively. Remember that some months have four lesson days and other months have five lesson days (or even more lesson days if you have multiple lessons a week).

3) If a student will not attend his/her lesson on the first week of the month, payment of tuition (only Zelle Payments and Cash Payments are accepted after the first payment has been paid for by Zelle) must still be sent out no later than the 1st of each month and received on time no later than the 15th of each month. Monthly payments are due on the 15th of each month and must be sent out no later than the 1st of each month, in order to hold/guarantee the student's lessons, time slot/schedule, and lesson rate. Payments not received by the 15th of each month, will automatically accrue a late fee equal to the total amount of one lesson (your per lesson rate), and every week that goes by after the 15th of each month that your tuition payment has not been received, will automatically accrue another late fee, also equal to the total amount of one lesson. Additional late fees will accrue every week until all late payments, along with all late fees, have been paid for. If lessons are canceled due to non-payment or excessively late payment, the student's balance will remain due and the student's account will only be cleared, once the total balance due, including all late fees, have been received. Two ways of payment are accepted, so please use the one that best works for you and that will guarantee your timely payment. Therefore, make sure to send your payment early enough (no later than the 1st of each month), so that your payment will be received NO LATER than the 15th of each month.

PLEASE NOTE: Payments that are continuously late, will result in cancellation of lessons and termination of account.

Registration, Sign up, or any other additional fees:

Registration and sign-up fees are not required. No other additional fees are required.

Recital Fee:

A recital will take place each year, depending on the number of students who would like to participate and on the interest those students and their parents/guardians demonstrate during the year. If a good number demonstrate interest, then a notice regarding the date of the recital, will be sent to the students/parents/guardians.

When a recital notice is sent out: A contribution of $30.00 - $50.00 (per student) and $8.00 - $14.00 (per attendee), is required prior to our beautiful recital. You will be notified regarding when the recital contribution should be turned in. Thank you. Please note: The recital contribution amount for students and attendees is subject to change (depending on economy and inflation fluctuation). PLEASE NOTE: All recital fees are final and non-refundable.

Books, Supplies, and Instruments:

Books, supplies, and instruments will be carefully chosen for the student by our master music instructors based upon the student's needs. On the first lesson, our master music instruction experts will do a short evaluation in order to determine what books, supplies, and instruments will be needed by the student. Once the names of those recommended books, supplies, and instruments are given to you by our expert music instructors, please feel free to either purchase them from our music academy, or you can purchase them yourself elsewhere, for your very next upcoming lesson. If you plan to purchase the books, supplies, or instruments that you need from somewhere else, then you can find books, supplies, and instruments at reasonable prices on amazon.com, musiciansfriend.com, Barnes & Noble (also, barnesandnoble.com), and at various other bookstores, music stores, vendors, etc. PLEASE NOTE: All books, supplies, and instruments purchased from our music academy are final, non-refundable, and non-returnable. No exceptions.

PLEASE NOTE: If you decide to purchase books, supplies, instruments, or anything else from elsewhere, then you are fully responsible for handling the purchase yourself and dealing with the music store, bookstore, vendor, etc. that you purchased the item from. We are not responsible for any purchases made outside of our music academy, nor will we compensate for any purchases made outside of our music academy. When a student makes a purchase outside of our music academy, they are doing so at their own risk.

Missed Lessons:

ATTENTION: NO RESCHEDULING OR MAKING UP LESSONS. MAKE UP LESSONS ARE NOT AVAILABLE UNDER ANY CIRCUMSTANCES IF A STUDENT MISSES A LESSON, REGARDLESS OF THE REASON. A STUDENT CAN ONLY MAKE UP A LESSON IF THEIR REGULAR LESSON DAY FALLS EXACTLY ON A DAY/HOLIDAY ON WHICH OUR MUSIC ACADEMY IS CLOSED OR IF OUR MASTER MUSIC INSTRUCTION EXPERTS, WHO ARE THE GRAND MASTERS OF MUSIC, ARE NOT AVAILABLE. IT IS THE STUDENT'S RESPONSIBILITY TO KEEP TRACK OF THEIR LESSON DAYS THAT FALL ON A DAY ON WHICH WE ARE CLOSED AND CONTACT US ON A DAY THAT OUR MUSIC ACADEMY IS OPEN PRIOR TO THE DAY/HOLIDAY ON WHICH WE ARE CLOSED, TO SCHEDULE A MAKE UP LESSON WITHIN 90 DAYS FROM THE CLOSED DAY ON A DAY/TIME WE HAVE AVAILABLE. FAILURE TO DO SO WILL RESULT IN THE LESSON BEING FORFEITED. ADDITIONALLY, IF NONE OF OUR AVAILABLE TIMES ARE POSSIBLE FOR THE STUDENT, THE LESSON IS FORFEITED. NO EXCEPTIONS.

It is the responsibility of every student to attend lessons at the time/day they have reserved and set as their regular lesson time. Extracurricular lesson time will NOT be created for students who do not attend their lessons at the regular lesson day and time they have reserved and set to attend lessons.

Important Note: The student's monthly payment ONLY reserves the specific lesson day(s) and time(s) that are chosen by the student/parent/guardian when lessons are scheduled/set by the student/parent/guardian, and it does not guarantee make up lessons, or obligates our music academy to create/find an alternate, unpaid time, for the student to make up any missed lessons. It is the student's responsibility to set aside a time to be available at our music academy, online over the internet via Skype, or at their home, for his/her lesson on the day(s)/time(s) they selected, agreed to, reserved, and paid for. No exceptions.

A student can make up a lesson ONLY if the music academy is closed, and if the students lesson time falls on the exact day of the specific day/holiday on which our music academy is closed or if our grand master music instruction experts, who are the ultimate Masters of Music, are not available. It is the student's responsibility to keep track of their lesson days that fall on a day on which we are closed. All days/dates that our music academy is closed can be viewed, at any time, on the “Contract/Policy” page of our website, www.jcmusiclessons.com, under the “Dates/Days Closed” section. It is the student's responsibility to contact our music academy on a day on which we are open, before the day we are closed, that their lesson falls on, to schedule a makeup lesson within 90 days from that day at one of our available days/times. If the student is not able to do any of the times, that we have available, then the lesson is void.

If make up times happen to be available at our music academy, it is the students full responsibility to find out about it, and to schedule a make-up lesson for the specific day/holiday, that our music academy is closed on, that happens to fall on the student's actual regular lesson day, by contacting our music academy when we are open, prior to the day we are closed, that his/her lesson falls on, as stipulated on this Contract/Policy page.

Please remember that lessons that fall on a day, on which we are closed, that are not rescheduled prior to the closed day by contacting our music academy when we are open (as stated on this Contract/Policy page), will be forfeited. The student is not allowed to schedule any make up lesson (for a day on which we are closed that their regular lesson falls on) to take place on a regular lesson day. If a day/time is available at our music academy within 90 days from the closed day, that the student's regular lesson fell on, but that day/time does not work for the student, then the lesson will be forfeited. One (1) make up lesson per month, is the maximum the student can receive and expect to make up, but ONLY if the actual day of the specific day/holiday falls on the student's regular lesson day, and the student contacts our music academy, on a day on which we are open, prior to the closed day that their regular lesson falls on, to schedule their make-up lesson within 90 days from the closed day at one of our available times. If none of our available times are possible for the student, then the lesson is forfeited. If the student decides to go away for a number of days or weeks during the holidays, that include the 90 day allowance period of time to have a make-up lesson, that lesson is not eligible to be made up. No exceptions.

PLEASE NOTE: Make up lessons for a specific day (a day on which our music academy was closed that the student's regular lesson fell on, where the music academy was contacted prior to the closed day on which the student's lesson fell on and a make-up lesson was scheduled by the student with us) that have been set and reserved by the student, cannot be rescheduled or made up under any circumstances.

Once a make-up lesson for the specific day, which our music academy was closed that the student's regular lesson fell on, where the music academy was contacted prior to the closed day on which the student's lesson fell on and a make-up lesson was scheduled by the student with us, has been set and reserved by the student, it cannot be made up/rescheduled again. Please remember that when you make up any lessons, we hold that time specially for you. The student must be available at our music academy, online over the internet via Skype, or at their home, on the day and time that they have set and reserved for that make up lesson. If the student is not able to attend the make-up lesson that they have set and reserved, then that lesson is forfeited. Due to a very busy schedule, our top professional master music instructors, who are the Grand Masters of Music, are not able to create extra time for makeup lessons due to students missing their regular lessons on the day/time that they agreed to, reserved, and paid for.

It is the student's full responsibility to be available at our music academy, online over the internet, or at their home, on the day/time of their lesson that they agreed to, reserved, and paid for. If the student is not available at our music academy, online over the internet, or at their home, for their lesson at the day/time that they agreed to, reserved, and paid for, then that lesson will be forfeited. It is not the music academy's fault that the student did not attend a lesson and it is not the music academy's obligation to give that student a second unpaid time/extracurricular time to have their lesson that they missed. Only if the student's lesson falls on a day that the music academy is closed or if our top professional grade expert music instructors, who are the Grand Masters of Music, are not available, and the student contacts us on a day that the music academy is open, prior to the closed day that their lesson falls on, will they be able to reschedule their lesson. We may be able to find another time slot for your lesson within 90 days from the day that the music academy was closed that your regular lesson fell on, if a time is available at a time that you can attend. If a time is not available within 90 days/the stipulated time according to our contract/policy, from the closed day that student's lesson fell on, the lesson will be forfeited. The student is not allowed to schedule any make up lessons for any of their regular lesson times/days.

If the student cannot find a time/day in their schedule or a day/time is not available at our music academy, other than their regular lesson time/day, to have their make up lesson due to one of their regular lesson days falling on a day on which we are closed, the make up lesson will be forfeited. If a student reschedules/sets a make up lesson to take place on any future month, that make up/rescheduled lesson, will only take place if the student has kept his/her tuition payments current, that must include the payment for the month on which the make up/rescheduled lesson(s) is due to take place. The student must maintain their tuition payments consecutive and current. Students who do not keep tuition payments consecutive and current, will have all future scheduled make up/rescheduled lessons forfeited. If the student terminates lessons before any scheduled make up or rescheduled lessons takes place, those make up or rescheduled lessons will be forfeited. No exceptions to the above.

Please no exceptions. We will not be able to hold your lesson into any other following weeks due to having a full schedule and numerous students with permanent time slots. Please, it is very important for you (the student) to make sure to schedule your make up lesson, by contacting us on a day on which our music academy is open prior to the closed day (due to your regular lesson day falling on the actual day on which we are closed), for a time that works for you from our available times, within 90 days, from the day on which we were closed, that your regular lesson fell on - Make up lessons are not eligible to be made up; If the student does not attend a make-up lesson, then that lesson will be forfeited.

If a student's lesson falls on a day that our music academy is closed, it is the student's responsibility to keep track of the days on which our music academy is closed, which is listed on our "Contract/Policy" page under the "Dates/Days closed" subtitle, and to contact us, on a day our music academy is open, prior to the closed day their lesson falls on, and schedule a make-up lesson within 90 days from the closed day that their regular lesson fell on - If a time slot is not available for a make-up lesson, then the lesson is forfeited. In the case that we are closed/not available to give the student their lesson on a day they have a regular lesson on, the student must contact our music academy, on a day on which we are open prior to the closed day their regular lesson falls on, to schedule a make-up lesson within 90 days from the closed day that their regular lesson fell on - If a time slot that works for the student is not available for a make-up lesson, then the lesson is forfeited. If a student misses one or more lessons, and does not keep monthly tuition payments current (or stops making tuition timely payments), that student's lessons, time schedule, and lesson rate will NOT continue to be held/reserved/guaranteed, and lessons, along with their time slot and lesson rate, will automatically be canceled.

PLEASE NOTE: Tuition payments (only Zelle Payments and Cash Payments are accepted as monthly payments after the first payment has been paid for using Zelle) must be sent no later than the 1st of each month, and received no later than the 15th of each month. Payments not received by the 15th of each month, will automatically accrue a late fee equal to the total amount of one lesson (your per lesson rate). Late fees will continue to accrue as each week goes by. The student’s account, lessons, lesson rate, and time slot will only be reinstated once all late payments and late fees have been paid. The student’s account balance will remain until it is paid in full and the student cannot continue lessons with our music academy until the account balance has been fully paid.

If lessons are canceled due to non-payment, excessively late payment, a student's paid advanced written notice to terminate lessons, or a student's unadvised absence, the student's balance will remain due and the student's account will only be cleared, once the total balance due, including all late fees, has been received. If the student fails to pay for their final total balance due within 4 days from the lesson day on which it was due, then legal action will be pursued until total amount is collected.

Recitals:

Recitals usually take place either in May, September, October, or November of each year. A notice will be given in advance to students/parent(s) regarding the date and location. Each students recital contribution fee is due at this time. The admittance fee per person amount for additional attendants will depend on the location of the recital and will be notified to all students.

PLEASE NOTE: All recital fees are final and non-refundable.

Professional, high quality video footage of the recital, shot with high-end professional equipment and crew, is able to be conveniently purchased from us and e-mailed to an e-mail address of your choice.

Our music academy is closed on the day before the recital. If your regular lesson day falls on the day before the recital, then it is your responsibility to contact our music academy, on a day on which we are open prior to the day before the recital, on which we are closed, to schedule a make up lesson within 90 days from the closed day that your regular lesson fell on. Failure to do so will result in the make up lesson being forfeited. If there is no available time that is possible for you to have your make up lesson within 90 days from the closed day that your regular lesson fell on, then the lesson is void.

Minors Attending Lessons:

We kindly ask you to please not leave your very young minors/children unattended at any time during in-studio lessons at our music academy, online lessons over the internet via Skype, or in-home lessons at your home. We are not responsible for unattended young minors/children. It is the responsibility of the parent(s), legal guardian, grandparent(s), babysitter, or any other person authorized by their parent(s), to look after the minors/children they are watching over, when they are participating in in-studio lessons at our music academy, online lessons over the internet via Skype, or in-home lessons at your home, with our master music instructors.

Academic Year:

Our academic year is from August 1st to July 31 of the following year (12 months). Rates are subject to change from one academic year to another.

Summer Months (Applies to all students up to age 20 only):

Our academic year is from August 1st to July 31st of the following year (12 months). During the Summer, student's may either keep their regular lesson time, or may choose an earlier time schedule for their lessons, on any day of the week (the student must notify us that they want to switch to another day and time before the following month starts. A student can only switch to another day and time that we have available. Lesson time slots/time schedules cannot be changed for the following month once the month has started or if it is currently in the middle of the following month) - This is completely on a first come, first served basis. Students who go on vacation at any time during the Summer months, in order to remain enrolled, are required to maintain consecutive tuition payments during the Summer months. Our highly qualified and experienced master music instructors have very busy schedules, therefore, creating extra curriculum hours or making exceptions, is not an option. Students who do not maintain consecutive tuition payments during the Summer months and at any time during the academic year, will automatically lose their lessons, regular lesson time schedule, and current lesson rate (rate offered at that time) - Those students will have to enroll again, and should expect to have a new lesson rate and a new schedule, if available, as if they were just starting lessons with our music academy for the first time as a new student. VERY IMPORTANT: It is the student's responsibility (parent's or guardian's responsibility, if the student is a minor/child), to make consecutive tuition payments and to contact us to make the necessary arrangements for the Summer months and for lessons during the academic year.

PLEASE NOTE: IN ORDER TO GUARANTEE LESSON TIME SCHEDULES AND THE RATE THAT IS BEING OFFERED FOR THE UPCOMING MONTH, REMEMBER TO SEND YOUR TUITION PAYMENT (ONLY ZELLE PAYMENTS AND CASH PAYMENTS ARE ACCEPTED AS MONTHLY PAYMENTS AFTER THE FIRST PAYMENT, USING ZELLE, HAS BEEN PAID) NO LATER THAN THE 1ST OF EACH MONTH, SO IT ARRIVES ON TIME ON THE DUE DATE, WHICH IS THE 15TH OF EACH MONTH. STUDENTS, PARENTS, OR GUARDIANS WHO DO NOT MAINTAIN CONSECUTIVE, TIMELY, TUITION PAYMENTS, ARE NOT GUARANTEED LESSONS, A TIME SLOT, OR THEIR CURRENT LESSON RATE. THOSE STUDENTS WILL AUTOMATICALLY LOSE THEIR CURRENT LESSONS, TIME SCHEDULE, CURRENT LESSON RATE, AND ENROLLMENT.

Terminating Lessons:

Our instructors reserve the right to terminate lessons due to negative behavior, failure to practice, last minute cancellation(s), continuous late tuition payments, excessive number of missed lessons, or any other excessive breaching of our Contract/Policy.

STUDENT/PARENTS/GUARDIANS WHO WISH TO TERMINATE LESSONS: The termination of lessons at any time, must be by mutual agreement between the teachers and the student, parent(s), or guardian. A ONE MONTH ADVANCE WRITTEN CANCELLATION NOTICE, IN LETTER FORM AND SIGNED BY THE STUDENT (IF NOT A MINOR), PARENT, OR GUARDIAN, MUST BE SENT IN THE MAIL DIRECTLY TO OUR SPECIFIED ADDRESS (PLEASE CONTACT US TO BE GIVEN THE ADDRESS), NO LESS THAN 31 DAYS FROM THE DAY ON WHICH THE STUDENT WISHES TO STOP ATTENDING LESSONS. THE TUITION PAYMENT (ZELLE PAYMENT OR CASH PAYMENT) MUST BE PAID FOR THAT FINAL MONTH AND THE STUDENT MAY CONTINUE TO ATTEND LESSONS FOR THAT PERIOD OF TIME. THAT PERIOD OF TIME WILL BE CONSIDERED THE STUDENTS FINAL MONTH OF LESSONS. The student/parent(s)/legal guardian is responsible for one full month tuition payment after the advance written cancellation notice is sent in the mail to our specified address and received by us. IMPORTANT: Lessons that have already been paid for before the student's/parent's/guardian's advance written notice is received in the mail at our specified address, WILL NOT be accepted as full or partial payment for the student's final month of lessons.

The account of students/parents/guardians, who do not follow the above requirements and regulations (including the student's final monthly payment requirement), will remain open and the total balance due for that last month will accrue an additional weekly late fee charge of fifty dollars ($50.00). If the student's/parent's/guardian's total account balance, including late fees, remains unpaid for more than 30 days from the day on which the student last attended lessons, that student's/parent's/guardian's account will remain open. If the student's/parent's/guardian's account balance, including total late fees, have not been paid within 30 days from the due date, legal action will be taken and pursued until the total balance due has been collected.

If a student's account is canceled due to excessive number of missed lessons, non-payment, or excessively late payments, the student's balance will remain due, and the student's account will only be cleared, once the total balance due, including late fee(s), is received.

The student who turns in an advance written notice to terminate lessons in the months of June, July, October, November, or December, will automatically have his/her lesson time rescheduled/transferred to Saturdays or weekday evenings, and will take place at a time that is available on our schedule. Please Note: Excessive number of missed lessons are also a reason for us to terminate the students' lessons at anytime. No refunds or make up lessons will be given for those lessons under any circumstances. In the case of make up/rescheduled lessons due to one of the student's regular lesson days falling on a day/holiday that the music academy is closed, if the student terminates lessons before any scheduled make up or rescheduled lessons takes place, those make up or rescheduled lessons will be forfeited.

Students who terminate/cancel lessons at any time during the academic year, will automatically lose their regular time schedule for lessons and the lesson rate they have at that time, will have to enroll again, should expect to have a new lesson rate, and a new time schedule, if available, as if they were just starting lessons with our music academy for the first time. VERY IMPORTANT: It is the student's (Parent or guardian, if the student is a minor/child) responsibility to contact us and to make the necessary arrangements to terminate lessons according to our requirements, as stipulated on this contract/policy, and to re-enroll for lessons.
